GAE sponsorship — Government Authorised Exchange — is a paid service, and we want you to approach that point with complete confidence. The fee depends on one thing only: how long your internship lasts.

Official fees charged by the sponsor and the UK authorities are added to these amounts. They are listed below, and we do not collect them.
Transparency
What our fees do not cover
These four items are paid directly to the UK authorities or to your insurer. We list them so you know the full budget from the start.

UK visa fee, payable to UKVI — UK Visas and Immigration, the British visa service.

Immigration Health Surcharge, or IHS. Mandatory for internships longer than 6 months.

Site visit, where a visit to your British employer is required.
Insurance
Travel insurance is a mandatory condition of the programme. Its cost depends on your policy.
Timescales
Six weeks on average, with options to go faster
A GAE visa application takes six weeks on average, from building the file to receiving the visa. That covers compiling the application, obtaining the CoS — Certificate of Sponsorship — and receiving the visa by email.
The procedure can be accelerated. These options are taken out directly with the sponsor and with UKVI: they are not included in our fees, and the decision is not ours to make.
- Fast-track processing by the sponsor within 5 working days instead of 10: €200
- Fast-track processing by the sponsor within 2 working days instead of 10: €310
- Visa issued by UKVI within 5 working days instead of 15: £500
- Visa issued by UKVI within 48 hours instead of 15 working days: £1,000
